EDDIE J SKIPPER JR.

Eddie James Skipper "Skip", age 80, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on February 17, 2026.

He loved listening to the Blues, watching Cowboy and Indian movies and helping others. He loved talking about his life, he brought laughter to others. He will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his grandchildren. His wishes were to return home to Columbus, Mississippi. 

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie James Skipper Sr. and Clara Davis, his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Ann Skipper, his son Tyrone Singleton, his daughter Marnetta Wheeler, and grandsons, Michael Roberts, Tymar Allen, and Travaugh Jones.

Eddie is survived by his brothers William and Alvin Skipper, sisters, Gracie and Annie Skipper, special daughters, Cherie Singleton and Kimberly Singleton, son, Julius Singleton, daughters, Teresa Banks, Renee Singleton, Crystal Singleton, Melissa Singleton, best friend, Bennie Hamilton and many more cherished family members and friends.
