Our beloved brother, uncle, our last man standing, Dwight M. Robinson, age 58, departed this earthly life on May 25, 2021. Although born in Welch, WV on June 6, 1962, to Pauline Robinson (deceased) and Obie (Randy) Hariston, Sr. (deceased), Akron, OH was his home. He attended Akron public Schools.
In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his brothers, William Nowlin, Daniel (Danny) Robinson, Frank (Frankie) Robinson, Sr., and David Robinson, Sr..
Dwight loved to be around his family whether he was visiting with his sister Paula whom he lovingly referred to a “Boss Man” and cooking up some potatoes and onions or playing cards with his older nieces and nephews all the while talking loud and talking mess. The youngest of his nieces and nephews loved when Uncle Dwight came over because they knew he was going to play with them, and they were going to have fun . He also made sure to spend time with his younger siblings and hung out with them when he could.
Dwight recently purchased a car and oh did he dote on that car. He would get it all cleaned up and shined up and then say to anyone in his vicinity “look out that window at that pretty car, ain’t she just pretty”. This was our brother, this was our uncle, this was our friend, this was our last man standing; this was Dwight, a playful, funny, family, loving man.
Dwight leaves to cherish her memory, his sisters, Paula (John) Singleton-Thornton and Tiffeny (Christine) Hairston; his brothers, Deacon Vincent (Beverly) King, Obie Hairston, Jr., Robert (Jalessa) Hairston, and Edward “Popeye” (Jackie) Richardson; special friend, Valerie Daniels; special nieces and nephews, Sherlonda Robinson, Monete Singleton, Mataou DeBruce, Jerome Singleton, Gentle and Mark Lanier, Corteze Singleton, and Frank (Frankie) Robinson, Jr.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
