DOROTHY STEVENSON

Dorothy was born in Riverton, Va to Gladys Gant and Calvin Gant Sr. She returned to her heavenly home August 20,2025 , surrounded by her loved ones. Dorothy was raised in a Christian household which she continued her Faith throughout her life. Moving to Canton, Ohio in 1962 . She dedicated her life to Christ under Pentecostal Temple (cogic).Dorothy was a phenomenal caregiver which lead her to retire from Massillon State Hospital. After 34 years of service.She was known for her delicious Texas sheet cake, her beautiful craft. She crochet dresses, hats and blankets.Dorothy enjoyed to read and search the internet. If you knew Dorothy ,then you knew she loved sports and bond that she shared with her son over them was everything to her!!! Dorothy was a strong fierce Woman who worked hard and loved her family harder. Her presence will always be missed by the ones who loved her!! Preceded in Death by her precious mother:Gladys Gant, Her Beloved Father: Calvin Gant Sr., Two Loving Daughters:Vicky A.Block and Hope M Miller. Great-granddaughter:Jakiya Stevenson. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, Her one and only son: Mark (Natalie) Stevenson Sr. Sister: Josephine (Melvin) Allen, Bernice(Edward) Taylor. Brother:Calvin (Dawn) Gant Jr. Grandchildren: Tomika kimbrough, Antoinette (Avery)Gardner, Mark (Yari) Stevenson Jr., Jamice (Alfonso)Thomas, Shamar Stevenson, Jazell Stevenson. 11 great-grandchildren,special cousin Alice, special friends Judy Phillips, Luretha Harris, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
