DONALD EUGENE CHAMBERS

Donald Eugene Chambers, age 79, of Canton Ohio, peacefully entered eternal rest on November 21, 2025. Born to the late Elisabeth A. Henderson and Henry Trent Skillern, Donald lived a life marked by simple joys, steady routines, and a gentle spirit that left an imprint on everyone who knew him. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Raymon (Bernice) Skillern of Canton, OH; nieces Rachel Skillern of Pensacola, FL and Meryleen Lightfoot of Massillon, OH; nephew Damon (Selena) Skillern of Kailua Kon, HI; several great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great nephews and caregiver, Russ Thoricht.  For many years, Donald was a proud and active member of The Workshop, where he found community, purpose, and friendship. He enjoyed life’s sweetest pleasures—especially ice cream—and was known for walking all over Canton and Massillon with a familiar, friendly presence. A member of Antioch Church, Donald’s faith was a steady anchor throughout his life. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished by his family and all who shared in his journey.
