On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, our beloved Dianna Robinson finished her race and was taken home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior.
Diane was born on June 25, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, the second child of five children born to the late Harold and Juanita Robinson.
Diane graduated from East High School. Always striving to do better, she earned an associate degree in Community Service from the University of Akron. She earned a certificate in Computer Technology and had several Continuing Education Units from 1993-present. She worked for the Ohio Bell and currently from 2006 until present was employed at the Urban Ounce Prevention as a Chemical Dependency Counselor. Diane was passionate about recovery and helping other women to strive to do better.
In 1996, she answered the call to salvation at Arlington Church of God under the leadership of Reverend Ronald Fowler and Rev. Dianna Swoope. She was a faithful servant, she loved serving the Lord, sharing her testimony about His goodness in her life. She served in ministry in the Arlington Church of God Nursey for over 20 years. She served as a Celebrate Recovery Coach/Leader and was a member of the Seniors Ministry. Diane had far too many mentoring relationships to list them all without the risk of omitting the name of someone she held dear.
Diane was a great cook and loved feeding her family. She loved flowers and always was working in her yard to beautify it. It was nothing for Diane to decorate her home, putting down floors, painting and putting tile on the walls.
Everyone that knew her, knew she had a love for clothes, shoes, shopping, jewelry and traveling. She was always Sharp! Always, shining like a diamond. Her presence will always be remembered for she was the one who always, Always checked on family.
We will cherish the memory of Diane’s witty sense of humor, her dignity, and her grace. Her ability to show delight in those she loved will never be forgotten. She has finished her race. No more sickness, no more pain-only a new heavenly body to enjoy for all eternity. Well done, Dianna (Diane) Robinson. Well done.
She leaves to cherish her life and memories, her sons Darshone of Akron, OH, Todd of Los Angeles, CA and Carlos(Mayyada) Nolan-Muhammed of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Frances (William) Ellison of Akron, OH, Delores Walters and Deborah Ingram of Los Angeles, brother: Leon Robinson of Akron, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
