Devon (Bon Bons) L. M. Pinkney Jr., was 21 years old when he transitioned to be with the Lord Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer on August 28, 2018. Devon was born on February 27, 1997 to Devon Pinkney, Sr. and Tamika R. McCollum. Devon was baptized at an early age and recently re-dedicated his life back to Christ. If you knew Devon you knew that he loved life and family. He fell in love with sports while playing Midget League football and baseball. Every sport that his cousin (James Smith) played Devon and his brother Jevon wanted to play as well. Devon continued to play football at Lehman Middle School and McKinley Sr. High. Devon loved his brothers, sisters and family, especially his little cousins. He loved to attend their sport events and games.

McCollum; special mother, Cathy Spencer; god-mother, Lisa (Pat) Allen; brothers, Jevon , Taevone, Dre’Von Pinkney, and TauZon Stewart; sisters, Keyonna McCollum, Chavone Pinkney, and Sa’mariayah Hall; special cousin/brother, James Smith; maternal great –grand mother, Sarah Correlle; maternal grand mother, Priscilla Thompson; paternal grand mother, Beverley Pinkney; uncles, Daris McCollum and Terrance McCollum, Kyle (K.T.) Pinkney; his only special aunty, Andrea Pinkney; special uncle, Willie James Smith; his nieces and nephews, Kavi-auna, K’Zon, K’Den, Kior, and Baby Chubbs. Courtney Hill and Sasha Williams were like aunts as well; god-children, Baby Malik and Baby Dre.
Korie Stevens (Korie-Bon Bons) was a blessing to Devon’s life as well as a blessing to his family. She was his fiancée but more importantly, she was his best friend.
Devon’s friends were his ride or die. No matter what life dealt him, his friends never left him out, including his childhood friend Imani Davenport.
