DEACON ROBERT FRAZIER, SR. Obituary

 

On July 10th, 2025, Robert Earl Frazier, Sr. peacefully made his transition from this earthly life to his heavenly home at the age of 74.  He was born July 20th, 1950 to his parents James Frazier and Tempie Lee (Flowers) Frazier in Enterprise, Alabama.  

 

Robert was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School.  He had a strong work ethic and retired as a supervisor after 30 years of dedicated service at Timken Roller Bearing Company.  He also was employed and retired from Canton City schools.  He was a pillar in his community and faithfully served as both Deacon and Trustee at Antioch Baptist Church of Canton, Ohio.  He was ordained under the leadership of the late Rev. W. C. Henderson.  He continued to serve in multiple leadership positions under the current Senior Pastor, Dr. Richard L. Jordan.  

 

Besides working hard Robert loved spending quality time with his wife and family.  He also enjoyed fishing, word puzzles, bowling, reading the word of God and cooking/grilling/baking.  He was famous for his home-made banana pudding and pound cake.  Family was very important to him, he was a loving husband, father, grand-father, brother, uncle, cousin, co-worker and friend.  

 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents James and Tempie Lee Frazier.  His Maternal Grandmother: Azie Lee Flourney. His bother: William Leon Frazier, John Charles Frazier, Arthur Lee Frazier and Master Isaiah Frazier.  

 

He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 52 years, EdelaideMaria (DePina) Frazier. His sister: Mary Rhodes.  His children (5) Carmelitta DeGraffinreed, Deidre (Xenos) Johnson, Natasha (Terence) Harcum, Renee (Ace) Gillems and Robert (Denise) Frazier, Jr.  His grandchildren (9) Hannah DeGraffinreed, Matthew DeGraffinreed, Elder Antonio (Monica) Gillems, Terra Barron, Andre Gillems, Terence Harcum, ShiyeraHarcum, Yasmin Johnson and Robert E. Frazier III.  His great grand children (3) Ezekiel “Zeke” Barron,  Antonio “AJ” Gillems and Antonio “Deuce” Gillems.  His sister-in-laws: Elizabeth Frazier and Debra Frazier. Aunts: Eindie Simmons (Montogomery, AL).  His long term friend: Walter Tucker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
