DAVID BURT, JR. Obituary

David Burt Jr. 93, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on January 30, 2021. He was born on February 13, in Talladega, Alabama.  He was the son of the late David C. Burt and Julia Jemison Burt. David graduated from Westside High school in Talladega, Alabama and attended Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama for two years He also took classes in Real Estate and Insurance at Finn College in Akron, Ohio where he received licenses in Real Estate and Insurance. David served in the United States Army during World War II where he received the World War II Victory Medal and Army occupation Medal.  He also sold real estate and insurance and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. He was a member of Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Eric C. Johnson, Pastor, where he attended until health issues forced him to stop coming to church.  He never let his health stop him from loving the Lord and His word.  Every Friday at, The Landing of Canton Assisted Living, where he lived for the last 4 years, would host a church service that he faithfully attended. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Beulah Burt; his brothers, Arden Burt; Willie Burt; Charlie Burt, and his niece, Barbara Burt. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Ruth Burt, Maxine Duncan,  Margie Adams, and Channie Tolbert; nephews, Gregory Adams, David  Adams;, Dexter Tolbert, and niece Sharon Payne;  grandnephews, nieces, cousins, and friends including two very special friends, Classy Groce and Lewistine Holloway Moore.
