DARRYL L. DUBOSE

Darryl Louis DuBose, age 59, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1966, to John C. DuBose Sr. and Ivory L. DuBose.

Darryl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He and his beloved wife, Bernadette DuBose, shared 27 years filled with love, laughter, and commitment. Together, they built a close-knit family rooted in togetherness.

He was the proud father of Shawntel Hall and Julian Hall and his wife Daniella, and a loving grandfather to Sharisse, ShaRai, Bryson, Brielle, Gary III, and Julian III. His cherished sister, Kathy DuBose, as well as numerous cousins and friends, will deeply miss him.

Darryl was preceded in death by his father, John C. DuBose Sr.; mother, Ivory L. DuBose; brother, John C. DuBose Jr., and beloved daughter and son-in-law, Chenay and Eddie Green.

He dedicated over 25 years of service to the City of Akron as a Foreman in the Water, Fire, and Hydrant Maintenance Department. His hard work, leadership, Outside work, Darryl enjoyed camping, cooking, and spending time with his family. His warm smile, humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on all.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his unwavering work ethic, and his calm and quiet presence, which brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. His memory endures through those whose lives he touched.
