DARLENE ATCHISON

Darlene Atchinson, 67, was called to Eternal Rest on January 13, 2025, at Western Reserve Hospital. Darlene was born in Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Akron, Ohio at an early age. She graduated from North High School and worked at Northcoast Behavioral Hospital retiring several years ago. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Authreen Cooper; stepfather, Fred Thomas; brother, Levan Howard and uncle, June. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Shyrise Howard; grandson, Corey Walker, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; aunts, JoAnn, Brenda and Jeanette; special cousins, Doreen and King Lewis and Ruth Carter; dedicated friends, Jay, Juanita Noels, Jackie Daniels, Barbara Bagley, Charlene Franklin and Brenda Wilson; and a host of other family and friends.
