CHARLENE L. THOMPSON

Charlene Thompson passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born November 11, 1947, in Canton, Ohio to Ernie and Irene Parks. She was a dedicated employee for RTA as a driver for over 20 years. Charlene married the love of her life Jimmie Thompson in 1985, and they spent 35 blissful years together before his passing in 2015.  

She loved cooking, playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family and friends, but the ultimate joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. Charlene will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her beautiful spirit. 

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children Conray (Tenisha) Henley, Ivory (Alonzo) Thompson, Melanie Thompson, Kristen (Julie) Thompson, Jimmie Thompson Jr.; grandchildren, Evan Henley, Ellis Henley, Selina Sente, Alonzo Thomas Jr. and November Thomas; great grandchildren, Xylan Henley and Zakye Henley, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
