Brenda Joyce (Noel) Connelly, 78, of Akron, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Brenda was a remarkably strong, giving, and dedicated woman whose warm presence left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Brenda was a lifetime resident of Akron and was educated in the Akron Schools. She was a majorette for the South Cavaliers “Big Blue” Band. She retired from the East Ohio Gas Company and later continued her hard-working spirit at Schumacher Homes and Copley Township. No matter where she was, she brought warmth, humor, and a steady sense of purpose.
She loved to gamble—and was famously lucky—enjoyed music, reading, and relaxing with her favorite TV shows. Brenda had a quiet way of turning simple moments into joyful memories.
She leaves to cherish her memory with her daughters, Robbie “Peachez” Connelly and Ranea (Charles) Williams; her son, Reginald Connelly, Jr.; her granddaughter, Taylor RH Williams; her brother, James “Sonny” Noel; Aunts, Barbara Young and Norma Spencer; special sister-cousin Pam McMiller and; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her spirit forward.
Brenda was married to Reginald Connelly, Sr., for 57 years before he departed this earth on July 11, 2023. Also preceded in death were her mother, Geraldine (Bell) Noel, father, James Noel, and brother, Ronald Noel.
Brenda’s strength, generosity, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
