BRANDON WOODS Obituary

Brandon affectionately known as “Spank” or “Uncle” was called home to be with the lord on January 21, 2025. He was born to his mother Jeanette Gail Woods and father Thomas Lidge on October 2nd, 1978. Brandon graduated from East High School in 1997 and was a current resident of Akron Ohio. Brandon loved old school music, cooking and he was a huge fan of watching crime tv shows, the cooking network and driving large vehicles.

Spank grew up drawing, listening to good music and writing children’s songs. He had a song that was famous to family and friends called “keep on trucking”. He enjoyed spending time with family and taking trips to wherever the wind would blow him. Brandon was known for being very “touch and go” meaning he wasn’t a big fan of crowds or random interactions with people that he didn’t know. With that being said he didn’t attend many large events that were organized by anyone other than family.

Spank absolutely did not accept people being in his personal business and could be perceived at times as mean. For those who knew him, they knew that he was just very particular, and he was vocal. If he didn’t verbalize what was on his mind his facial expressions would tell the entire story from start to finish. Spank had a big heart and was very amusing to be around if you got to know him. He had a great sense of humor and often shared laughs and long talks with his big sister Barabara who treated him like her own child from birth. Spank loved to confide in Barbara and often went to her for support, comforting words and even encouragement. It was really hard on him when he lost her in 2023. He often expressed how great of a big brother Bill was to him and how thankful he was that Bill was there for him in the manner in which he was. Brandon said, “Bill is the best roommate ever, I love being with him”. Thankfully he was able to spend the last few years of his life with his brother that he admired so much, which meant a lot to him.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Jeanette Gail Woods, brother Brian Woods, sisters Barbara Barron, and Bridgette Woods. He was survived by his Brother William Woods, sister Bria Breaker ( Stanley), nieces and nephews Natasha and Tierra Woods, Marquis Simpson (Heaven), Jade Coleman, Isaiah, Evan, Brandon, Xavier, Jaden, Neveah, Dillon, Lake  Ivy,  Jacarri and Jacai Anderson, and his special friend Sharon Williams as well as a host of beloved family member and friends.
