ARTHUR L. SHADE

Arthur (Shady) Shade was born in Jefferson, Alabama on June 11, 1937, to the late Luetta (Robinson) and Willie Shade.  He resided in Franklin Township, Akron, OH for more than 40 years before he left this life on February 3, 2025.

Arthur lived a quiet and private lifestyle.  He retired from Chrysler after 30+ years.  Arthur, a U.S Army veteran also served in Panama. 

Preceded in death by grandparents Hattie and Willie Robinson, parents Luetta (Robinson) Shade, Willie Shade, Aunts, Estella (Robinson) Lee and Hattie (Robinson) Shade, Uncles, Henry Williams, Willie Robinson Jr., and Harrison Robinson.  He leaves to mourn his memory a loving daughter Misty (Shade) Bass, grandchildren, Kaley, Frederick; and a host of caring and supportive relatives in Toledo, OH and Alabama.

Family and Friends we deeply appreciate your attendance at Arthur (Shady) Shade’s homegoing service on February 16, 2025 at Rhoden Memorial.  Your kind words of encouragement and the fond memories you share were expressed with the most sincerity.  We appreciate all who called and sent flowers to ensure their support and prayers were felt during this time.  Art left us all with memories we will keep with us.  Art was a praying man, and I know God has embraced him.  Art was a U.S. Army veteran and has been laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
