ARCHIE D. SCALES, JR.

Archie Scales, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on December 10th at his home. He was born on November 24, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama and has been a long time resident of Akron and Copley Ohio. Archie retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he was a dedicated employee. He was a lifelong member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church, and where he served as a Deacon, Trustee and Mens Day Committe member. He is preceded in death by parents Archie Sr. and Elberta Scales, wife Lanetta Scales, brothers Alfred Scales and Larry Scales Sr. and grandson Rashauwn Haley. He was survived by children Keith (Nedella)

Spears, Bryn Spear, Trisa (Hebert) Newburn, Jibreel (Ann) Scales, sister Patricia Langston, grandchildren Devin, Ryan, and Jared, LeJon T. Payne Il and Jibreel Jr. and Albert Scales. Also special niece, Rev. Dr. Monica Lowe, nephew Danny (Sandra) Langston and special friend Mary Scudder, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Saturday, December 21 with visitation at 11:00am and service at 12 noon at the Prince of Peace Baptist Church, 844 Garth Ave. Akron Ohio 44320.
