Our beloved Annie Lucille Tolson went home to be with the Lord May 21, 2023 at the age of 81 years old.
She was born July 5, 1941 in Forkland, Alabama to the late Booker and Emma Gertrude Redrick.
Annie retired from Carlisle Plastic after 37 years and decided to keep working. She has been an employee of ABM for over 10 years where she loved ministering to her fellow employees.
She loved God and loved sharing her testimony of how good God has been to her. She was always there for family and friends when needed; and gave all glory to God for the ability and willingness to sow into others. She had a heart for single mothers and was well known for taking younger women under her wings and always had an encouraging word for others.
She was a member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church in Barberton for 12 years. Prior to joining Galilee, she was a longtime member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Canton where she served as a Deaconess.
In July of 1987, she was joined in matrimony to her best friend and loving husband of 39 years, Lawrence Tolson, whom she leaves to cherish her memory. Also surviving are brother: Robert Redrick; sister: Jennifer Knox; daughters: Rachel Ann Ricks, Debra Redrick; sons: Craig (Eddie) Hood, Frankie (Theresa) Hale, Lawrence (Torey) Tolson, Michael (Chrystal) Tolson; grandchildren: Xavier Tolson, Evie Hood, Nicholas Hood, Silas Hood, Mike, Jr., Victor (Sandra) Hale, Zoie Price, Emma, Shawn Jr, Samuel and Chelsea Ricks; great-grandchildren: Siya Hood, Baylee Tolson, Royalty Hale, Legend Hale; special nieces and nephew: MeLeigha, Darrell (Shirley), Kristina “Zsa Zsa”, Tiana, Monica and Buddah.
She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers: Johnnie Redrick, Earl “Hun” Redrick, Brooker T. Redrick; sister: Bernice Hood; grandson: Craig Hood, Jr.; and son-in-law: Shawnreno Ricks.
