Zoletta Jean Stevens Jones, 91, was born on November 3, 1931, to Johney Stevens Green, (deceased) and James Edward Stevens, (deceased) in Akron, Ohio. She departed this earthly life surrounded by her loving children on June 3, 2023. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from The Akron Practical Nursing School. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 40 years. Zoletta accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of Phillips Chapel C.M.E. and was very active in her church: a choir member, a youth director, a kitchen committee member and member of the Mothers' Board. She was an excellent cook; she could make a meal out of anything! She loved to bake. She was a member of the Golden Hearts Club, she was a former president of the Summit Lake Seniors and also a member of the Phillips Chapel Bowling League. We have truly lost a part of the village. She was preceded in death by husband Henry Jones, and beloved daughter, Roxanne Le Grair, brother John Mims Green, sisters Lois Stevens Scruggs and Brenda A. Stevens Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memory: sons James Stevens (Elnora); Rev Bart Le Grair; Rev Todd Le Grair (Leslie); daughters Rev Dr Sheree Winn (Colin); Renee Le Grair; Siblings Linda G. Green; Rev Arthur S. Green (Patricia); S. Gary Green (Sherri); and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
