Wilie M. Sykes, 90, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2024, after a long illness. Born on April 2, 1933, in Columbus, Mississippi.  She was the fourth child of William and Ludell Sykes. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brother along with two grandsons. She is survived by children, JoAn Sykes, Linda Sykes, Lewis (Sonja) Edwards, and Rosie (Greg) Clark. She is also survived by six grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, and nephews.
