Moses, Jr.
December 21, 1956 – June 11, 2023
On the eve of Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital Willie L. Moses, Jr., age 66, crossed the victory line transitioning from labor to rest after an extended illness. He fought a good fight and spoke the words of the 23rd Psalm as he transitioned.
Willie was born in Canton, Ohio on Friday December 21, 1956 to Ida and Willie L. Moses Sr. He was a member of Gospel Temple under the Pastorate of Rev. Henry L. Henderson Jr.. He attended Canton City Schools including Martin Elementary, Timken Vocational High School (Auto Body course) and was a proud Bulldog graduating from Canton McKinley High School. He went on to attend college in Indiana to pursue the field of electronics. Always the aspiring entrepreneur Willie was the owner and operator of The Rat's Nest and Function Junction Connection.
An animal enthusiast he loved pets. He had a special passion for rabbits, and attended County Fairs, and animal shows throughout Ohio. He cherished his four legged furry tomcat Wee Willie. Willie also enjoyed gardening, repairing automobiles and appliances, and listening to Gospel music.
Predeceased by his parents, he was a very kind man and will be deeply missed. Willie leaves to mourn his passing: Wife, Sadina (Clark-Johnson) Moses, Stepdaughters and Son-in-Laws, Patricia (James) Williams of Columbus, Ohio, and Audra (Dewon I) Turpin of Orlando, Florida. Sisters–in-love Carolyn Sims and Linda Range both of Canton, and Dawn Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brothers-in-love Perry Range and James Sims Sr. both of Canton and George Clark Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma.Two Step-grandchildren, and two great step-grandchildren, special cousins, Jeannette Smith, Becky James, and Esther James, dear friends Alfred and Cheryl Rhodes, Timothy "Scooter" (Samantha Thompson) Warren and a multitude of relatives and friends.
