Willie L. Mackey, Jr. departed this life December 13, 2018.  He was born in Winter Garden, Florida t the late Willie Lee Mackey, Sr. and Catherine Mackey.  He was a resident of Canton for over 70 years.  He attended McKinley High School.  Willie also served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.  Willie met and married Mary K. Lowe and on December 30, 2018would have been married 60 years.  Willie was retired from the Timken Company after 34 years of service.  He was a past member of The Canton Negro   Oldtimers.  Two of his favorite pastimes were to dance and listen to music.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Strachan; son, John Walker; granddaughter, Adonnica Mackey; grandson, John "Peanut" Graves; great grandson, Tajan Burt; stepmother, Ruthie Mackey; brother-in-law, Joseph Strachan.  He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Mary K. Mackey; daughter, Debra Mackey Love; sons, Victor Mackey, Reginald (Louann) Lowe, Rafiel Townsley, Thaddeus Walker all of Canton, Corey (Lakeesha) Ball of Columbus, Ohio, Jack (Lila) White of Florida; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ross and Helen  Robinson; (17) grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He also left a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.
