William T. Razor's Obituary

William T. Razor, affectionately known as Bay Brother, Uncle Razor, Jheri Curl, Pony Tail, Razor, and Papa, was born on June 27, 1952, in Hazzard, Kentucky. On July 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, William peacefully transitioned and went home to be with his Lord and Savior. William proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1972. After completing his military service, he returned home and later met the love of his life, Brandie Sheeler-Ingram-Razor. Their bond was strong and enduring; together, they shared 31 beautiful years, with 3 of those years as husband and wife. To their union, one precious daughter, Lucretia A. Razor, was born, who sadly passed away at just three months old. Although this loss brought deep pain, William and Brandie leaned on love, faith, and family to carry them through. William accepted Christ at an early age. Though he was not a regular churchgoer, his faith was steadfast. He read his Bible daily and maintained a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord. A hard worker and go-getter, William held positions with Summit County Engineers and GoJo before venturing into entrepreneurship. Known for his hustle, William became one of Akron's well-known self-starters, selling everything from DVDs to purses and more. His entrepreneurial spirit was unmatched—if William could bottle air and sell it, he would! Beyond business, William was passionate about life and had many hobbies that brought him joy. He loved skating, shooting pool, riding motorcycles, CB radio chatting, attending AA meetings, and watching sports. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his family gather, eat, and share love. William was deeply committed to his recovery and was a faithful member of the AA program and fellowship, where he impacted countless lives with his story, strength, and encouragement. Through this community, he gained lifelong friends and mentors who walked alongside him in his journey. William was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Bessie Razor; his father-in-law, Clarence Sheeler; his infant daughter, Lucretia A. Razor; brother James Wallace; and dear friends Stick Man, Brian, Spanky, and AA mentors Jim and Walter. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Brandie Razor; his beloved sister, Alice Razor; and his children: Tiffany, Tia, Billy (Star), Tyrone, Geneva, Lillian, and Butch. William had a special place in his heart for his favorite granddaughter, Little Shawn, and shared a deep bond with his godchildren. His legacy of love extends to a large family, including 30 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren who will forever remember his laughter, lessons, and unwavering love. William's influence was far-reaching, touching not only family but also friends who became like family. He leaves behind special nephews—Lakumba, Damani (Shannon), Tamar, and many more—along with cherished friends Judy, Jessie, Andrew, Tony, Steffon, Sand Man, Anthony C., and Anthony N. He also shared a close bond with his special cousin Lisa Jacobs and his "special sisters" Valerie, Stella, Cheryl, and April. William T. Razor lived a life full of resilience, laughter, and love. His memory will forever be a source of strength, joy, and inspiration to all who knew him.
