William N.
Price
March 30, 1970 – May 2, 2021
William Nelson Price, known to family and friends as " T Price", passed away suddenly at the age of 51. He was a loving father, protective son and brother, and devoted friend to all those who he met. Born on March 30, 1970, to Deborah Price and William "Teddy" Lillie, he was the eldest of three sons.
A native of Akron, Ohio, he attended Firestone High School where he was an exceptional football and track athlete. To this day, he still holds the 110m hurdle school record with a time of 14.41 seconds set in 1988. Upon graduation, he proceeded on to attend Kansas State University securing a football scholarship. Over his four years on the team, "T" was a top-ranked defensive player in the positions of cornerback and defensive back earning several All-Big 8 Team honorable mentions. Off the field, he was just as successful having pledged the Beta Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and graduating with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 1994.
"T" always wanted to be a difference-maker, and once he returned home, devoted his time and energy to aiding the community which supported him.
Professionally, he devoted his talents to organizations that aided victims of crime, provided much-needed counseling and rehabilitation opportunities, and mental health services. He also had a soft spot for working with youth and his passion and compassion were evident in the love and care he espoused daily. At the time of his passing, "T" was employed with the Warrensville City School District where he worked for over six years. As an Instructional Assistant with the high school, he played a pivotal role in developing his scholar's social and emotional aptitude.
He also served as the Assistant Coach to the Football Team and was assuming his place as the Boy's Track Coach. Throughout his life, "T" achieved numerous accolades, however, none were more significant than his calling as a supporter, provider, and defender. More than anything he will be remembered for his larger-than-life-persona, infectious smile, and comedic charm.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lucille L. Lillie and William N. Lillie, Sr.; maternal grandparents Stanley E. Price and Vivian E. Price; and brother, Rahsaan Price.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children, daughter, Ashanté Price, and sons Carlyle Price and Christian Price. He also is survived by his mother, Deborah Price; father, William "Teddy" Price; brother Stanley "Rocky" Price; sister-in-law, LeTeash Price and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, and special friends.
