William (Bill) Eugene Davis was born September 17, 1948, in  Dover, OH, to parents William Lee Davis and Ruth Rutlin Davis Waters.  He was preceded in death by both parents; a sister, Pamela K. Bradley; and a beloved cousin, Charles (Chucky) Sherrill. Bill was employed by the City of Canton's Sanitation Department for 15 years, prior to retiring due to ill health.  He was honorably discharged from the  U. S. Navy after 4 years  of service. He leaves to cherish his loving memory a wife of 44 years, Charlotte Yvette Davis; a son, David Cortijo Davis of Canton; a daughter, Brandy N. Davis of Akron, OH; four grandchildren:  Davin and Destiny Cortijo, both of Canton; and Raigen and Ryan Davis, both of Akron, OH.  Other surviving relatives include a sister, Sheila (James) Price of Gray Court, S. C.; a brother, Roger (Yvonne) Davis of Canton; his favorite and sole-surviving aunt, Barbara Davis of  Canton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill was always the life of the party, he made the best wine and barbecue in town. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. Bill's hearty laughter and outlandish sense of humor will long be remembered and missed by all those who loved him.  May he rest in peace.
