Patriarch of the Ohio Anderson family has passed on to paradise. Mr. Wilken Anderson was born in Hoffman, Oklahoma on February 13, 1933, to the union of the late Garfield and Eva "Guess" Anderson Sr. Wilken passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Rockynol Ohio Living. The oldest of 11 children he is survived by his youngest sister Barbara Ann Smith of Akron, OH. He was preceded in death by siblings: Gladys (John) Tucker, Mary Yvonne, Charles, Garfield Jr, Robert, George, Johnny, Jaqueline (Shelton) Hill, and Otis "(Carla).

He leaves to cherish the sweet memories of his life:  his former wife Angerine Minniefield (1957 to 1978), eight children: Eva "Cookie" (Gary) Skipper, Lawrence "Larry", Karen (Ralph) Moon, Gregory (Andrea), Felicia (Jerry) Sanders, Wilken "Alan", Mark (Karen) and Jennifer (Carlus) Wells.  In addition to his legacy of love are 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grands, nieces, nephews, family members, and longtime friend Bethel Poole.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SPLC in memory of Wilken Anderson. Dad proudly supported this and other causes for social justice for many years.
