Wanda Lynn
(Lamar) Hall
December 24, 1956 – March 19, 2019
Wanda Lynn Lamar Hall, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2019. Wanda was born on December 24, 1956 to the late William and Fanny B. (Alston) Lamar. Wanda grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1976. Wanda was married to John David Hall, r. for over 25 yeas before his passing in December of 2005. Through their union one child was born, Christian David Hall.
Wanda was most recently employed by Stark County Group Homes Empowering People" as a Direct Support Professional for over 10 years. She previously worked at Nex Pac factory in East Canton, until their closing and Target stores. She was referred to as "Ms. Wan" on her job by all her clients and staff. She was highly respected and loved due to her knowledge of how to take care of business and her loving care for her clients.
Wanda loved R&B music, along with "Old School music, mainly Frankie Beverly and Maze. She also loved old movies and old television shows. Wanda loved being on social media "Facebook" mainly to stay in touch and connect with old friends and family. She would often send texts and messages to family and friends to encourage them or to tell them that she was just thinking about them or checking on them.
Wanda was a person that everyone loved, with her sense of humor, silly jokes, and blunt remarks. She had a beautiful personality. Her son Chris and his friends referred to her as 'Momma Dukes" or "Myee". Her greatest highlight and blessing in her life came on October 28, 2018, when she became a grandmother to beautiful twin grandbabies, K'mya (granddaughter) and Kashton (grandson). Wanda was truly a loving, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John David Hall, Sr,; brother, Karl Lamar; sisters, Constance Lamar Degraffinreed, Saundra K. Lamar Brown; nephews, Dean M. Brown, Morice Lamar, Travis Jones; nieces, Denise D. Degraffinreed, Tia Lamar; mother and father–in-law, John, Sr. and Dorothy Hall; aunt and uncle, William and Mary Alston; uncle, J.W. Williams.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Christian David Hall (Tessica Pryor); brother, Robert "Bobby" Lamar; sister, Donna Lamar (Willie McInnis); nephews, Michael (Kim) Brown, Franklin Degraffinreed, Jr.; nieces, Andrea Degraffinreed Fite, Bridhgett Parker, Lawanda Williams, Monica Lamar, Ricci Johnson, Alicia Lewis; sister-in-law, Felecia Kay Hall-Schaffer; significant other, Kevin Robinson; grandchildren, K'mya and Kashton Hall, Kennedi Metcalf; spiritual grandchildren, Kyan Pryor, Charlize Dillard, MyJeal Massey; special friends, Gloria Johnston, Geraldine Washington, Mary Lou Everett, Veronica Singleton, Arlene Alexanders Sales as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
