Wade T. Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Wade T. Johnson announces his passing on April 8, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family.

Wade was born April 12, 1959, in Canton, Ohio to Cleveland and Lucille Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Glennadine Wade, brother Richard Smalls. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1979. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Urbana University in 1992. Wade was a talented piano player. The music was in his heart. Wade loved his music, his dogs, his band members, and his family—in that order. He was a big personality.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Linda Austin and Regina Johnson, brother Vince Johnson (Robin), cousin WL (Emily) Johnson, nieces Jennifer Warren, Tony Skinner, and Ray Jett, nephews William Warren, Mandwell Patterson, Darrell Carter, Malcom Carter, Judnard Henry (Emily), childhood friends “Slick” and “Rusty” McCray, and many other relatives—too many to mention.

The family wishes to thank Doctor Nashawati and the Intensive Care Unit staff at Aultman Hospital for the professional and tender care they gave Wade.

From the family to Wade’s friends: thanks for showing up. May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face toshine upon you and be gracious to you. May He show you His favor and give you Peace.
