Obituary

Vita Anne Singletary age 64 of Canton, Ohio departed this earthly life on Friday, April 10, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center of Canton, Ohio following a brief illness.  She was born October 27, 1950 in Canton, Ohio, she was educated in the Canton City Schools System and was a 1969 graduate of McKinley High School. Vita was affectionately known by many names by her family and friends:  Fat Rapp, Vite Cat, and known to her grandchildren as Nannan.  She was employed by various employers in the Greater Canton area, to name a couple, United Concessions, but the one she enjoyed the most was being a bus driver for The Canton City Schools.  She also loved the O'Jays but she truly loved one in particular  "Walter Lee Williams Jr."  Oh boy how she would light up when he was performing. Vita also loved and adored her Shih Tzu "Oreo". She was proceeded in death by her parents Bill Singletary and Janet "Dump" Coney, the love of her life and soulmate Nathaniel "Nate" Jackson, grandson Don Rachell Frazier II, two brothers, Billy and Freddie Singletary, grandmother Anna Pearl Singletary, great-grandmother Agnes Mae Tyson, two Aunts, Joyce M. "Weenie" Lewis and Marva J."Mert" Chambers, an Uncle Joe Lewis She leaves to cherish her loving memory. Sons, Michael (Monica) Parish, Carlos (Darla) Parish, of Canton, Nathaniel Williams of Cleveland, Ohio. Mothered as her own Michael "Mikey" Parish Jr., and Francisco "Frankie" Gomes also of Canton.  Daughters, Timeka (Jason) Torrence, Telishia "Pooh" Jackson, Mothered as her own Breanna "Bre Wil" Wilson, 2 brothers Jeffery Singletary of Canton, and John "Keno" (Cheryl) Coney of Columbus, Ohio, 6 sisters Bernita and Betty Singletary, Leontine "MayMo" and Marcia Coney all of Canton, Brenda Singletary of Miami Florida, and Gussie Relford of Albany, Georgia, 18 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grand children, her lifetime friends, Fannie Randall, Deborah Burt, Daisy Mae Nix, and Doris Provens, A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  A special thanks to Jason Torrence, Nathaniel Williams, Breanna Wilson, Jayce, Brayla, J'Meka, and Bria Torrence, J'Leishia and RaJean Pope, Carlos II, Michael Jr., Lashonna, Mickaela, and Brooke Parish, Jacaden Massey, Alauna Lucas for being caregivers.  A very special thank you to all the home health aides who cared for Vita in her time of need.
