Violet G. Cornelius Departed this earthly life on Monday, December 17, 2018. She was born  March 6, 1931 in Alliance, Ohio. She worked various jobs, Molly Stark Nursing, Republic Storage and The Goodwill.  After retiring she loved gardening, flowers, good music, blues and gospel. She married Dave Cornelius whom she affectionately called Pop in 1973 and moved to Canton, Ohio.  She joined the Mt. Olive Baptist under the late Rev. Floyd Summers.  She recently reinstated her membership under Pastor Eric G. Howard.  Violet was preceded in death by her parents; (3) sisters, and (2) brothers, Violet leaves to mourn her passing her husband David Cornelius "Pop"; sister-in-law, Louise Dubose; brother-in-law, William (Frankie) and Jimmie (Daisy) Cornelius all of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, Marva of Alliance, Ohio , Wanda Scott of California and Lisa Scott of Youngstown, Ohio; nephew,  Samuel Scott of Youngstown, Ohio and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.
