Victor C. Parker Sr. (Coach Parker) passed at the age of 81 peacefully in his sleep at Bath Manor Nursing Home on Friday July 28, 2023. He was Born to the late Ernest Parker Sr. and Edna E. Parker on Sunday October 19,1941. Born and raised in the Akron Community all of his life, Victor graduated from North High School and Southern Ohio College. He worked and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber as a Supervisor. He was a supreme A-1 class act head football coach for many years in the Akron Community. He started his career in coaching for Akron South Rangers, West Griffins and finishing his coaching career for The Patterson Park Vikings J.V. Team to an undefeated, unscored and untied season.  During his Coaching career he had many wins including multiple city championships, 1 State Title and 1 National Title. He was a proud member of St. John Christian Methodist Church and loved singing in the choir.

His last race has been run; he will continue to shine like the sun.

He is survived by his children, Victor D. (Kathy E.) Parker Jr., Vaughn A. (Stacey L.) Parker, Demetrius L. (Audrey P.) Parker, Terrance L. Parker, Patrick Griffin, Henry Davis, Tobin Parker, Anita Mapp, Chelita Parker, Nephew Richard Warren and Cousin Lynn Keyes. He is proceeded in death by his Father Ernest Parker Sr., Mother Edna E. Parker, Brother Ernest (Rabbi) Parker Jr., Uncle Harold Keyes and Daughters, Antonette Mapp and Sheliegha Powe.
