Vaughn Revere Hammond (age 81), of Canton, Ohio, was a 1959 graduate of McKinley High School.  Revere worked for the Timken company right out of high school as a Millwright for 30 plus years.  He  was a faithful member of Trinity Gospel Temple for several years, and a member of the Promise Keepers Evangelical Christian men's organization.  Revere had several hobbies, such as fishing, coaching baseball, bowling, and he loved golfing with friends.  He grew in his relationship with the Lord and loved attending Bible Study weekly with friends.

Revere is preceded in death by his parents: Merle C. Hammond, Sr. and Beatrice Henrietta (James) Hammond; son, Vaughn R. Hammond, Jr.; his siblings, Dorothy Ann Hammond-Massey, Blythe J. Hammond Cornelison and Merle C. Hammond, Jr.; grandchildren, Jauque Jones and Anthony E. Chavers, Jr.

Revere was united in holy matrimony to Barbara Stevens Hammond in June of 1985.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his (6) six children: sons, Vaughn ( deceased ) (Cynthia) Hammond, Damon (Denise) Hammond, Rodney Hammond, Terez Averette, all of Canton, Ohio,; and daughters, Tamika Hammond, of Canton, Ohio, and Fallon Hammond of Massillon, Ohio.  Revere was also blessed with 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
