Obituary

Van Dora Hall was escorted to the gates of heaven on Saturday, May 20, 2017, after serving 76 years of life on earth. Van was born on July 22, 1940, in Heflin, AL, to the late Herman and Guyesther Echols. She was a member of The Jesus Spot church in Massillon, OH.

Van Dora was preceded in death by her children, Cristal Eavet Henderson and Kent Sherman Henderson, her parents, Herman Henry Echols and Guyesther Echols, and her siblings, Georgia Mae Bethune and   Herman Henry Echols Jr. She is survived by her son, Van (Rena) Terry Henderson and sister, Daphene Lois Echols, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a great aunt, Martha Ball (over 100 years old) and a village of dear cousins, family, and friends.

Van Dora loved her family and went out of her way to help them. She loved to travel and visited her grandchildren regularly. Van cherished her beloved friend, Willa Brown. Van will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, and confidant. She will be deeply missed. She will enjoy her new eternal life.
