Valerie (Prophet) Gulley, 59, of Canton passed away of heart failure on Monday December 17, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Canton Ohio March 16, 1959 to the late Dean and Etta Prophet. She graduated from Timken High School, was a US Army  Veteran, and retired from the US Postal Service. Valerie was a member of Life Ministries International Church. Valerie was direct, outgoing and generous. At heart she was a homebody. She enjoyed cooking, ordering the latest cooking gadgets, and doing 1000 piece puzzles. She is preceded in death by her brother Ira Prophet.Valerie is survived by her devoted husband Ben Gulley, Jr.; sister, Deborah Wilson; brothers, Geoffrey, Mark and Edward Prophet all of Canton, Ohio and  Winston her dog and companion. She will be deeply missed.
