Tyrone Zachary Marshall, Sr., age 65, went to be with the Lord on March, 23, 2017. Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Tyrone attended McKinley High School. As a young person he was an accomplished swimmer, he wrestled and played baseball. Tyrone was a bad man on a pair of skates. It's rare that his name is mentioned without someone saying, "Tyrone was the baddest skater around." Tyrone was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, who served with dignity and pride. He married the late Doris Jean Garner (Canton, OH) at a young age. Together they raised three children between Canton and Northern California, two daughters: Tyronea Marshall Modeste (Pleasanton, CA) and Shyvonne (who he affectionately called "Poobie") Marshall Vance. Tyrone was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He will be remembered most for being a man who lived on his own terms. He did it his way. Always! He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Bud" Williams and Barbara Jean Stokes-Marshall; daughter, Shyvonne "Poobie" Marshall Vance; grandmother, Mattie Lou Stokes; brother, Jerrold Allen Stokes and his grandson William Broyles. He is survived by children: Tyronea Marshall Modeste, Korida Broyles, Kenneth Slater, Wayne Longstreet, Geno Burt, Kayshauna Haskins and Laudy Rae Marshall; brothers: Donnie "Ricky" and Gary Marshall, Kenneth "Duke" and Vince "Stevebo" (Stephanie) Williams - all of Canton, OH; Glenn Williams (Tallahassee, FL.); Mark Marshall (Cleveland, OH); Eric (Becky) Street (Carrollton, OH); and sister: Monica Clark (Canton, OH) and Stephanie Truett (Cleveland, OH). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, great grandchildren, a loving aunt, cousins and friends.
