Tonya Rae Johnson, age 43 went home to rest with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2016. Tonya was born September 8, 1972 at Massillon Community Hospital to parents Debbie (Tyrone) Collins-Massey and Donnie (Barb) Hall. Tonya was a graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Tonya started working at the Timken Company in the late 90's then afterwards she dedicated her life to helping other people and served as a Firefighter/Medic for The City of Canton for 18 years, which majority of her career was served at Station #8, and recently was moved to Station #2. Tonya was also founder and CEO of In Trusting Care, LLC. A company that was dedicated to helping individuals with special needs, which employed over 25 employees. Tonya was a GOD FEARING CHRISTIAN who dedicated her life to make others happy. She never accepted NO for an answer. If she was ever told something was impossible, she showed the world that knew her that "ALL" things were possible through CHRIST, because Christ is who strengthens her. Tonya was preceded in death by her grandfather; Douvle Collins; grandparents, John and Flora Mae Hall; aunts, Charlotte Foster and Lachelle Hall; uncles, George Hall, John Hall, Norman Hall, Richard Hall; cousins, Tiffany Collins and Shirley Hall. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her three children Trevon Boone (Kaylah) of Columbus, Ohio, DeJon Newell of Canton, Ohio and Temaria Johnson of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Leiyah Marie and Michael Anthony Boone; parents, Debbie (Tyrone) Massey of Massillon, Ohio, Donald (Barbara) Hall; grandparents, Ella Mae Collins; siblings, Donald "Duke" (Brandy) Williams, Corey (Christina) Williams, Derrick (Danielle) Williams, Tiffani (Anthony) Walker, Devonna "Missy" ( Brett) Jackson, Dontez Jackson, Devon Jackson, Marcus Lowe, Darcelle Robinson, Tyrone (Crystal) Howard and a host of aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her. Tonya loved her family tremendously, she was the life of the party when she was around. She had a passion for cars, high heels and dresses. The only time Tonya was not in heels and a dress was when she was on duty fighting fires, but she always remained a "girlie girl" even at the station. Tonya was the most caring and loving person. She would give you the shirt off her back. She wore her heart on her sleeve. Tonya always welcomed people with open arms and was never judgmental. Tonya took pride in her business In Trusting Care LLC. Day in and day out she worked hard for her business making sure her clients and her employees were well taken care of. Tonya will be remembered by her family and friend as a loving mother, grandmother, sibling and confidant. She was a loving and courageous woman.
