Tommy Pope peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 11, 2021. Tommy was born on March 3, 1950 in Clinchcoe, Virginia to the late Daniel and Elsie Pope. Tommy's family moved to Akron, Ohio where he attended North High School . He worked at Home Centers and Ohio Foundry for many years.

Tommy was well known throughout North Akron for his loving nature, friendly attitude, dance moves, handy work, notorious smile and we must not forget riding his bicycle along with a cold one (if you know what we mean).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Elsie Pope; sister, Evelyn Higginbottom-Pope; step son, Matthew Williams; granddaughter, Treacy Bromsey; special son-in-law, James E. Bromsey, Jr. and nephew, Emory Grimes

He leaves to forever cherish his loving memory and celebrate his life, loving partner, Judith Williams; daughters Michelle Pope and Tomika Pope; step sons, Deon (Carmen) Williams and Richard Williams; brothers, Danny Pope and Terry (Dionne) Pope; sisters, Claudette Grimes, Anna Calhoun-Neal and Cassie (Selby) McGowen; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
