Thomas Pride, Jr. age 79, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 following an extended illness.  Born August 12, 1937 in Huntsville, AL to Thomas and Izlor (Tibbs) Pride, Sr.  He attended McKinley High School; and a US Army Vietnam War Veteran.  He retired from Supervision at Republic Steel and retired from Ryder in Augusta, GA., Preceded in death by his wife Johnnie M. Pride; his parents, Thomas and Izlor Pride, Sr.; brothers, Tibbs and Hundley Pride; nephew Keith D. Cheek.  He is survived by one daughter and son-in- law, April (Chenault) Jerry McLeod and one grandson, Alec Jorel McLeod; three sisters, Edmonia Jefferson of Huntsville, AL., Marie (Lawrence) Cheek and Hundlean Dykes all of Canton. OH; devoted nieces, Michelle Cheek and Krystal Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thomas was blessed with a devoted brother- in- law Lawrence Cheek Jr.; friend Clarence Thomas (CT) and his Ryder Trucking family all of Augusta, GA.
