Thomas E. Mitchell's Obituary

Thomas E. Mitchell (Mountain Man) was born July 10, 1949, to the late Edward and Katie Mitchell in Montgomery Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kim Mitchell Bester and brother Charles Mitchell and son Thomas Blackwell. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife Diane Mitchell, daughter DeAnna Mitchell, son Wilson Mitchell.  1 brother Carlos (Anita) Mitchell, 2 sisters Theodora (Robert) Stovall, Marie (Chris) Chittenden.

Additionally, he leaves 13 grandchildren that he loved and nurtured.  Just as special is the following Special Grandchild. Ter'Monte McCormick, Special Nephews Rick Sales and Donald Ricks special brother -in law Robert Grandison, daughter in law Clara Blackwell, best friend Donny Banks

Thomas was a kind and generous person who was an avid baseball player; he was inducted into the Summit County Softball Hall of Fame for his many outstanding Softball achievements, and he was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He was a loving husband to his wife Diane of 50 years, coupled with his love for his children.  Thomas was a beautiful spirit and spent his life serving the lord. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and attended regularly until his health failed and he was no longer able to do so. Thomas retired from Ohio Edison Electric Company after 40 years of service.  He endured a short period of illness and passed away on March 7,2024 at Summa Heath Center.  The angels have received him at the heavenly gates.
