Obituary

Thomas was born August 6, 1933 in Grey, Georgia to the late Ethel and Julius Card.  He departed this life July 13, 2017 after an extended illness.

Thomas worked for Canton Malleable/Canton Castings for several decades; however retired from Union Metal.  He was a union representative during his tenure.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Thomas was a previous member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.  Tom, was an avid bowler and was captain of several leagues in the Canton/Stark County area.  He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and country western shows, like Gunsmoke.  He called them, his ol shoot em ups. Thomas was preceded in death by devoted wife Ruth O. Card, daughter Belinda Lancaster, sisters Maggie Hasker and Carrie Gray, brothers Jerry and Richard Card, in-laws. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Ronald (Elaine) Simmons; daughters, Shirley Ann Williams, Eunice Dotson, Dwinda Willis all of Canton, Ohio, Alice R. Jackson of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers,  Moses (Rosita) Card of Washington, D.C., Robert Card of Canton, Ohio and Joseph Card of  Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Neomi Dotson, Angela Rembert, Carla  Dotson, Jason Dotson,   Benjamin Jackson and Alton Jackson both of Ft. Wayne, IN., Bryan (Kimberly) Dotson, Robert Jones, Tina Williams, Anita Williams and Eddie Williams Jr.; great-grandchildren,  Benjamin  Jackson, Alton Jackson, Joshua Dotson, Miles Dotson, Shaylan Dotson, Rion Rembert, Zontius Williams, Anontae Wilson, Arnell Massey Jr.,
