Theresa Hunt affectionately known as "Wendy" went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 11, 1958 in Canton, Ohio. Theresa was raised on the Northeast side of Canton, where she was raised closely with her first cousins and built many of the friendships that would remain with her throughout her life. She also spent a big chunk of her life in her second home in Oakland, California where she made another set of family and close friends that she would also remain close with through distance after her return to Ohio. She came home to raise her children in her hometown. Theresa had a warm presence, she was full of love and joy. Known for her giving, loving, and calming spirit , her signature scent of White Diamonds and perfectly executed flower in her hair, she brought joy and love into every room she entered. Her thunderous laugh and bright smile was enough to light up and energize a room and will be truly missed. She was high spirited and always in charge, and we will never forget it and forever appreciate the time we shared with the boisterous and bossy mother, sister and big cousin that she truly was to our family. The love that she had for her family was a love that she not only told but showed through her actions, but how she treated everyone who came along, will forever be a story that will live eternally in our minds and in our hearts. Those who truly knew Theresa knew she found joy in traveling, playing cards, sports, and most importantly, being surrounded by the people she loved. Theresa left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Theresa leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughters: Theresa "TJ" Hunt and stepdaughter Erica Hospon; bonus son Michael Dunivant; her grandchildren: Tyler (26), Kenaz (12), Reagan (9), and Logan (7); Her greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a mother and a "Nana". She also leaves behind her siblings: Charles "Tony" Hunt, Gideon "Omar" Hunt, and Darren Hunt; uncles: William "Bill" (Brenda) Thompson and Joe Thompson; Nieces: Kaile (Anthony) Garcia and Danika Hunt; Nephews Anthony Hunt, Eric Hunt, and Charles Hunt. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Jonathan Tyler Hunt; her mother and father: Charles and Doris Hunt; grandparents: Thelma "Mitt" Thompson and Veatrice "Gramp" Thompson; uncles: TL Thompson, Ezell (Ted) Thompson, and Jack Thompson; aunt Brunetta Thompson; cousins: Denise "Neicy" Thompson and Tonya Jeffries. Theresa's love ran deep, and she is lovingly remembered by her uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, closest friends, and other bonus children, along with many others whose lives she touched. She will be missed dearly and remembered for a lifetime by all of those who have had the opportunity to be graced with her presence. May her life and legacy be a reminder to live, love & laugh all the days ahead.
