Our beloved Theresa Duck-Horton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 27, 2014 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Theresa had accepted Christ into her life and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, where she served on the Usher Board. Theresa was a very loving and caring person, she showed this by working her entire life as a nurse's and restorative therapy aide at both Canton Health Care and McKinley Life Care. Her gift to the world was her big, beautiful smile. She could brighten anyone's day just by smiling at them. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents,; mother Dorothy Duck & father Roosevelt Jackson, sisters; Octovia Duck, Adrienne Jackson, and Darlene Duck, brothers; Charles Jackson and Raymond Duck Jr., aunt; Rosetta Brewer, and uncle Alfred Brewer. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of six yers Michael Horton, her cherished daughter Shannell Marie Walker, sisters; Carmaine Duck– Cockohmos of Akron, Oh., Ruth (Theodis) Hill of Canton, Oh., Carol Jackson of Columbus, Oh., brothers; Christopher Duck and Archie Jackson both of Canton, Oh., Thomas Jackson of Columbus, Oh., Robert Hairston of Arcadia, Fl., and Derek Jackson of Cleveland, Oh,, special niece; Patricia Barrino, grandchildren; Courtney Brown, Rashawn and Ravon Compton; close friends; Shirley Horton-Brown, Shawnta Compton and Vanessa Turner along with a host of sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and friends.
