Theodore William Standard, Sr. "Stan", age 83, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on October 18, 2019.  He was born September 12, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Theodore J.  Standard and Lucille Robinson (Standard) Lowe.

Theodore was employed by CB Ragland, State Stove, and Roadway Express from which he retired with 25 years of service.  During his years with Roadway he received two distinguished service awards, in 1993 for 20 Years of Safe Driving and in 1996 for Two Million Miles of Safe Driving.

Theodore served his country proudly and was honorably discharged as a member of the United States Marine Corps, having been stationed in Parris Island, South Carolina.  He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio.  An avid bowler and fisherman, Theodore enjoyed many hours pursuing his favorite hobbies.  However, well known to all, was that his greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved wife and children.

In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his daughter Terrie Standard; brother, James Standard, and grandson Thuron Standard.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years Connie L. (Randle) Standard; son, Theodore W. Standard, Jr. (Sandra) and daughter Jennie A. Standard of Nashville,              Tennessee.  Theodore is also survived by his loving in-laws; Thelma Truitt, Leon, and Loretha Winn of Canton, Ohio, Eunice Garner, Jearline Saulter of Columbus, Ohio, Joyce Singletary of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Portia Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee, Jean Standard, and Esther Matthews of Louisville, Kentucky; special friends, Leon Winn, Margaret Robins, Jennifer Robinson, and Pastor Anthony Robinson, Sr. (Juanita) and family of  Canton, Ohio, as well as host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too  numerous to name.
