Thad Mattox,  Jr. transition to his heavenly home on May 10th2017 at the Mercy Medical Center.  Born to Thad Mattox Sr. and Sebell  (Faust)Mattox in Carlton, Georgia on April 21st , 1930.Thad will be remembered for his sense of humor quick wit and love of children. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Jane Mattox, and step-sons Dennis Litmon and Harry  Vaught He leaves to cherish his memories are sons, Thad (Roi) Maddox (Port Huemene), Larry Monday Maddox of Cincinati, Ohio, sisters Mae Bell Davenport, Carrie Carpenter of Canton, Ohio and Sarah Pass and Lucy Stewart of Georgia. Grandsons, Michael, Jason and Anthony Maddox and Nicholas Starr of California, Trevor Vaught (who he raised) of Portsmouth, Ohio, also survived by great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
