Tenora Lashawn Corley-White passed  away on March 23, 2025. Though her time with us feels far too short, the love, laughter, and light she brought into our lives will never fade.

Born on October 30, 1970, Tenora was a proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1989, and later earned her Associate's degree. What started as a temporary job turned into a 20-year career as an Administration Assistant at the East Akron Community House, where she made a lasting impact on colleagues and the community alike.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry White; granddaughter, River Smith; and brother, Steven White. She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her mother, Gloria Bailey; her devoted fiancée, Sean Donald; her beloved daughter, Dezia Rhoden; and her sister, Tiffany White, along with her cherished niece and nephew, Ziya and Ramon "Monie" Jr. as well as a host of nieces, nephews & beloved friends who she loved so dearly.  More than anything, Tenora loved being Nana to: TAY'veair, Marcel, Malaisa, Marlia, and Malia, who brought her endless joy.

She was also blessed with friendships that felt like family her friends meant everything to her, she especially looked forward to her birthday dinners every year. Her best friends, Karla Clay Butler  and Ikel Kelly, were her ride-or-dies, her safe space, her partners in laughter and love. Their bond was unbreakable, and the memories they shared will be treasured forever.

Tenora was the sun that shined through any storm. Her soul, spirit, and energy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy, we will continue to celebrate her life, laughter, and the love she so freely gave.
