Taniesha Phinnessee's Obituary

Taniesha Renee Phinnessee, 43, passed away 21st December 2023 from natural causes at her home in Akron Ohio.

Taniesha was born on January 8th 1980 in Akron, Ohio. She grew up on the East Side in a very lively and joyous household with her mother, father, sister and brothers. She graduated from Central Howard high school and pursued further education at Brown Mackie College and ITTechincal Institute. Taniesha possessed a quiet strength and determination in pursuing her studies in electronic technology and achieving her career goals. She received multiple certifications throughout her lifetime furthering her knowledge and skills, which she used as a Manufacturing Technician II. for Thermo Fisher for 3 years and prior to that 8 years at GE Healthcare.

Taniesha was an avid listener of '80s - '90s R&B and Hip Hop music. She enjoyed learning about the history of life, different cultures and the spiritual side of the world. She loved to spend time with family and friends having conversations that ranged from pop culture to the meaning of life. Taniesha was an extroverted introvert who thrived and came to life when hanging out with colleagues outside of work. Water was her serenity as she often relaxed in a long bubble bath with her favorite music and candles.

As a single mother, Taniesha poured endless love and support into her only child, Takiya Marshall. She really enjoyed watching movies and TV marathons with her daughter. Taniesha was a wonderful mother and Takiya's #1 fan who cheered Takiya on as she discovered her artistic and creative abilities, every major life milestone and pursued her studies and graduated from St. Vincent - St. Mary High School. Just as Taniesha cheered Takiya on in life, she continues to cheer her on in the hereafter. Taniesha's love for Takiya, a mother's love, transcends death!

Taniesha had unparalleled loyalty, generosity and warmth. She welcomed her future son-in-law, Camren Hunt, with open arms and a loving heart. She called him Son.

Taniesha is preceded in death by her mother, Renee Phinnessee (1/8/1954 - 5/17/2000) and her father, Tommy Wright Jr. (10/2/1959 - 2/5/2015). Taniesha is survived by her only daughter Takiya Janae Marshall; her siblings: Twilica Bonner (Shawn), Lebron Phinnesee, Tommy Phinnessee (Delilah), Timothy Phinnessee (Shevon), Tyrone Phinnessee (Rienez) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close family and friends.
