Tamica made her transition to paradise on December 13, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on February 17, 1980, in Akron, Ohio, to her loving parents, Jeanette Tucker Burton and Calvin Burton.
Tamica was a woman of great strength, warmth, and kindness. She was known for her unwavering compassion and her ability to make others feel heard, loved, and supported. She had a calming presence that provided comfort to those around her, always going above and beyond to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Tamica was a proud graduate of Valley View High School, Class of 1998, and later attended Herzing University in Akron, Ohio, where she pursued her passion for caring for others through nursing. She worked diligently at Akron General Hospital as a Nurse Assistant, demonstrating the same compassion and dedication in her professional life as she did in her personal life.
Her love for life was evident in everything she did. Tamica had a natural passion for dancing and cherished every moment spent with friends and family. She was a loving mother, daughter and a sister who could always be counted on. Her heart was full of love, and she shared it with all those fortunate enough to know her. Tamica's unwavering support for her loved ones, her kind spirit, and her selflessness will never be forgotten.
Tamica was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Burton; her grandfather, Nelester Burton; her grandfather, Lawyer Tucker Jr.; and her grandmother, Mary Emma Tucker and uncle Kenneth Burton.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Tamica is survived by her mother Jeanette Tucker; stepdad Bruce Greer; husband, William Martin; her cherished children, Kesean Martin, Kamrynn Martin, and Kyndall Martin; her sister, Tiffany Burton; and her brother, Ramon Graham. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Jazmyne Martin, Tevin Martin, and Justin Martin, along with her grandmother, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of relatives, and many dear friends.
Tamica's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and resilience. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the beautiful impact she made on this world. Rest in peace, Tamica—you will always be in our hearts.
