In Loving Memory of Stephen Thomas

Stephen Thomas, who was born on July 30, 1971 to Fannie (Thomas) Brown and Larry Culver Sr., departed this life surrounded by his family.
At an early age, Stephen accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Reimer Rd. Bath Church, a faith that remained an important part of his life's journey. Stephen was our first baby in the family, so he was spoiled by all of us.

Stephen grew up with a love for sports. As a child, he played football for Patterson and later attended North High School, where he proudly played basketball. His passion for sports remained with him throughout his life as he faithfully cheered on the Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines, while living next door to Ohio State fans.

Stephen was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need, whenever he could. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved, laughing, celebrating life, and making the most of every moment. Known for playing the dozens, he had a comeback and joke for everyone.

Above all Stephen treasured being a grandfather. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his children and grandchildren, whether they were enjoying movie nights together or making late-night trips to the store at 2:00 a.m. Those simple moments became treasured memories that his children and grandchildren will carry with them forever. Just 7 months ago he loss his Hero and 15 years before his Shero, but the hardest pill to swallow was when he loss his brother/best friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Culver Sr.; brother, Deshawn Brown Sr.; beloved grandparents, Earl Thomas and Rosie Thomas; cousin, Demond Wilson Jr., and granddaughter, Wynter Parker.

Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kaprena, Stephen Jr., Dariaun, Marquis, Ayden, and Che'Teonia; his beloved grandchildren; his mother, Fannie (Thomas) Brown; sisters, Tanika Wilson and Tiffany Culver; brothers, Lawrence Culver and Jason Culver; favorite aunt, Aunt Dell, along with many other siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Stephen's legacy is one of love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though he is no longer with us in body, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
