Solomon Jones was born on April 28, 1950, to the late William and Emma D. Jones. He worked as a security guard for majority of his life at Akron Children's Hospital and Children's Services Board just to name a few. He retired from CSB after working there for 25 years. Because of his love for the game of basketball, he was one of the greatest players of his time and will always be remembered by many as the Gladiator. He leaves to forever cherish his memory, wife of 50 years Ramona, two daughters Tamika and Helena, two sisters Byrdine and Faye, long time best friends William (Pee Wee) McAlpine and Roy Madison along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
