Shirley A
Fields
April 23, 1969 – February 11, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Fields, a loving mother, grandmother, friend, aunt, and sister, who peacefully passed away on February 11, 2026.
Born in Dubach, Louisiana to Odelia Fields, Shirley was known for always keeping herself busy- dedicated to her work, committed to school, and devoted to providing for her family. She carried herself with strength, independence, and determination. Shirley was loving, funny, outgoing, fearless, and strong. Though she could be stubborn, she stood firmly in what she believed. She leaves to cherish her memory her son James Fields; daughter Jasmine Fields; grandchildren, Martino Mitchell, Coyana Fields, Yazmine Fields, Cartel Woodard, Javier Williams, James Fields Jr., Malyani Fields, Karsyn Fields, Isavella Fields, and Niko Fields; her siblings, James Sanders, Herletha Lewis, Linda Fields, Clifford Gary, and Henry Gary; uncle, Glen Sanders; nieces and nephews, Sheldon Bell Jr., Ciaria Livingston, Jayona Livingston, Jamie Sanders, Brittany Sanders, Brandon Ward, Jonathan Sanders, Jequiz Gary, and Henry Gary Jr., along with a host of great nieces, great nephews, and family from Louisiana, Detroit, and Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by Odelia Fields, Betty Sanders, Ozieal Milton, Henry Milton, Willie Banks, and Cloteal Boyd.
