Sherri Lashawn Sigler, 54, of Akron, OH, went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2023. Sherri was born on December 14, 1968 in Akron, Ohio

Sherri graduated through the Akron Public Schools systems and attended Kent State University.

She was employed for 17 years at Aetna Insurance Company as a Care Management Associate. She also worked for Sterling Jewelers, Akron Beacon Journal and Sears.

Sherri was the "comforter" in our family. She took good care of her 93 year old grandmother until her own health started failing her. She was always the one people wanted to talk to and be around. She touched so many with encouraging words and acts of love. Sherri was also a donor, so even after her passing she wanted to help others. This was how she was and how she lived her life. Sherri will be truly missed!

Sherri loved the Lord, her family and friends. She loved shopping, traveling, reading, watching movies and cooking shows (we couldn't get enough of her famous macaroni and cheese!)

Sherri is preceded in death by her mother Kathy (Turner) Johnson; father Ben F. Sigler; uncle Kevin R. Turner; great aunt and uncle Betty (Raymond) Miller.

She is survived by her brother Johnnie L. Johnson; half-sisters Shirley Huges of Detroit, MI., Maryalice Robinson, Sandy Woods and Trina Madison; grandmother Bernice Sigler; aunts LaKeia Neeley, Vickie (Lionel) Millender; uncle Gregory Turner and God-daughter Mia Grant; special friends Hope Grant, Barbara Carter and Sheree Stivers; along with a host of other close friends, and family members.
