Sharon Lynn Alford-Jones was born September 14, 1946, to the late Eric and Louise Alford in Akron, Ohio and passed away August 6, 2023, she was the second of two children.

She worked as a Teacher's Assistant for Akron Public Schools and was a devoted employee for The Holiday Inn Hotel Chain, she completed her employment with The Summa Health Care System.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband; George Jones Jr. (Sleepy), grandchildren; RayShawn Hamilton and Lajoy D. Alford.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son; Lawrence D. Alford, daughter-in-law; Jody Hamilton, granddaughter; Zipporah L. Alford, sisters; Sandra Shuford and Frances Jones, great-grandchildren; MyJoy Travis, Dakota Wright, Skylar Mitchell, Nittiare Ackne, Santan Nelson,Rayonna Lanita, Rashawn Braylon Hamilton, nephews; James, Darryl, Michael and Gregory McMullen, Level and Richard Jones, nieces; Falita McMullen and Tracy Jones, special cousin; Arvita McNeil and a host of other families including The Thorton's, Smiths, Daniels and Whites, relatives and friends.
